The 3 Way Call
Use a 3rd party when you speak to someone. One on one, the candidate is uncomfortable, and so are you, but the 3rd party changes everything. Use phrases such as “I would like to introduce you to my partner.” It’s a friendship call, a validation call. You don’t call it a 3-Way call or refer to it as a business technique. Always promote the idea of meeting someone else. And remember-the 3rd party continues after you start your business. Let’s call “insert name” and see how they are doing.
Become an Inviter (a Bringer)
To grow our business and make money, we become professional inviters, enthusiastic bringers. We learn and become good at asking permission. In order to be a good inviter, you need to know what 4 things you need to hit.
1)You edify another person
2)You arouse curiosity regarding that person
3)You give them a sense of urgency regarding a rare opportunity to connect with that person.
4)You confirm an exact time and date when you will be in touch with them.
Become a promoter
We live in a byline age. We are accustomed to bylines on television, on radio, in advertising. We need to develop a byline regarding ourselves and the people we promote. If it takes longer than 10 seconds, it’s too long.
Understand what drives people
3 things people look for:
1) autonomy
2) continual growth
3) business or organization that has purpose and meaning
